Aviation classes for kids in Jersey City

If your kid looks up every time a plane goes over the Hudson, you already know the question: where can they actually learn how this works, without us driving to an airport every weekend? That is why we opened our classroom at 118 Ferry Street, in Jersey City.

Kids come after school, sit in a real Cessna flight simulator, and learn what the pilot is doing and why. Screens off, tools out: they also build, wire and fly the machines they study.

    What a class looks like

Each class runs 90 minutes. A short briefing, then hands-on time in the simulator or at the workbench, then a debrief where every kid explains what they did. Groups are small so a coach can sit next to your child, not shout across the room.

Which group is right for my child?

Ages 6 to 8 join the Discovery Lab: flight, drones and first builds at a gentle pace. From 9 up, kids pick a track: Flight, Aerospace or Robotics, grouped by age and experience across levels 100, 200 and 300. Not sure? The class finder on our Programs page takes one minute.

What parents tell us they like

Kids come home talking about crosswinds and batteries instead of video games. You get a progress record, and your child leaves each semester with something real: a skill, a build, a clear next step.

    Questions parents ask

    Does my child need experience?

No. Every 101 course starts from zero, and the Discovery Lab is made for first-timers.

Is this a real flight school?

We are a training academy. We prepare students; flight lessons in real aircraft happen later with partner schools, and the FAA examines and certifies.
