    Photo, Video & Portfolio Release

    Last updated October 8, 2026

This release explains how FAA TC LLC, dba FlightAerospaceAcademy records student progress and uses photos and videos. It is accepted by a parent or guardian during registration.

    1. Flight Log and Engineering Log

In every class, we track each student's learning and progress in a Flight Log and an Engineering Log. These logs may include simulator sessions and maneuvers practiced, mission and checkride scores, projects built, design decisions, test results, instructor feedback, skill points, ranks and badges earned, and photos or videos of the student's work. Simulator time recorded in the Flight Log is for skill-building only and is not loggable toward a Federal Aviation Administration certificate.

    2. Student portfolio

The logs are used to build each student's portfolio, a record of what they have learned, built and accomplished. Families may use it for high school, college, scholarship, competition or program applications. We do not send a student's portfolio to any school or third party unless a parent or guardian asks us to. Parents may request a copy at any time.

    3. Who can see the logs and portfolio

The student, their parents or guardians, and our instructors and staff. Records are stored in secure tools with restricted access.

    4. Photos and videos

Instructors and students take photos and videos during classes, builds, tests, field trips and events. By agreeing to this release, you allow Flight & Aerospace Academy to use photos, videos and project highlights showing your child or their work in: your child's logs and portfolio; instruction and instructor training; student-produced projects, such as videos made in our media classes; and our website, social media, newsletters, printed materials and advertising.

    5. How we protect your child when sharing publicly

We may use your child's first name. We never publish their last name, school, home address or contact details, and we never tag their location or personal social media accounts.

    6. Opting out

You may opt out of public sharing (the last use listed in item 4) at any time by emailing hello@flightaerospace.academy. Logs, portfolio and internal instruction uses continue, as they are part of every class. We will stop new public uses and remove your child's images from accounts we control within 14 days. We make reasonable efforts to keep opted-out students out of public photos, but cannot guarantee they will never appear in the background of a group image. Materials already printed or shared by others cannot be recalled.

    7. No compensation

Participation in photos, videos, logs or portfolios is unpaid. Flight & Aerospace Academy owns the photos and videos it takes. Students keep credit for the work and designs they create.

    8. Retention

We keep logs and portfolios while your child is enrolled and for up to 3 years after their last class. You may request deletion at any time, except records we must keep for safety, insurance or legal reasons.

    9. Consent

By agreeing, I confirm I am the parent or legal guardian of the student and have authority to give this consent on their behalf.
