STEM classes for kids near Brooklyn
Flight, aerospace and robotics in one workshop, taught by instructors with real aviation and engineering backgrounds. For Brooklyn families it means one weekly trip covers several interests.
Brooklyn Navy Yard's manufacturing history and the workshops around Gowanus offer a real backdrop for a child interested in making things. Our robotics classes focus that interest on motors, wiring and machines students can test themselves.

Coming from Brooklyn
For a child who enjoys the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park, flight and engineering reveal what holds a structure up and keeps a machine moving. The simulator adds checklists and navigation; the engineering bench adds prototypes and tests. Choose a weekly slot around your Brooklyn starting point, not a borough-wide travel estimate.
Classes run 90 minutes: a short briefing, hands-on time at the bench or the simulator, then a debrief where every student explains what they did and what broke. Groups stay small enough for a coach to sit next to your child.

Course detailsWhere a Brooklyn student starts
Ages 6 to 8 from Brooklyn start in the Discovery Lab. From 9, students choose the Flight, Aerospace or Robotics track and move through levels 100, 200 and 300, grouped by age and experience. Advanced courses include Part 107 exam prep (eligibility at 16+) and Private Pilot preparation with partner flight schools.
Coaches work in aviation and engineering, the equipment stays in the workshop, and every student leaves the term with something real: a build, a tracked skill record and a clear next step. If you are unsure which course fits, book the trial class and we will place your child in the right group on the day.
Questions Brooklyn parents ask
Are classes small?
