Robotics classes for kids near Teaneck

Teaneck students build robots from parts, not kits that snap together in ten minutes. They learn why designs fail, fix them and test again.

Teaneck Creek Conservancy and the Hackensack River put water, habitats and infrastructure close to home. In our workshop, students explore a different kind of system: how a frame, motor, sensor and controller work together under real testing.

    Coming from Teaneck

From the Cedar Lane shopping district or neighborhoods near Votee Park, the first leg is reaching the southbound road corridor. You do not need to cross into New York and back. Use the trial to test the drive to the Heights and see how a 90-minute workshop session fits alongside local activities.

Classes run 90 minutes: a short briefing, hands-on time at the bench or the simulator, then a debrief where every student explains what they did and what broke. Groups stay small enough for a coach to sit next to your child.

    Where a Teaneck student starts

Builders from Teaneck start at level 100: ENG 100 if they want to code a robot, ENG 101 if they want to build one for competition. From there they move up to level 200 and 300 combat robotics, grouped by age and experience. Nothing is theoretical: if the robot does not drive, the class finds out why.

Coaches work in aviation and engineering, the equipment stays in the workshop, and every student leaves the term with something real: a build, a tracked skill record and a clear next step. If you are unsure which course fits, book the trial class and we will place your child in the right group on the day.
